Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) brought an end to their 18-year trophy drought by winning their maiden Indian Premier League title on Tuesday, 3 June, defeating Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the IPL 2025 final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Rajat Patidar’s team will now take out a victory parade in Bengaluru on 4 June, which is expected to witness a massive outpouring of joy and pride among the RCB fans.
The six-run win over PBKS already led to night-long celebrations in Bengaluru, as well as a host of congratulatory messages from the city’s sporting legends and political leaders. Now, the players are themselves set to bask in the glory, with RCB announcing the parade on their social media account, writing, “For every cheer, every tear, every year… Loyalty is Royalty and today the crown is yours.”
Thousands of RCB fans, draped in the team’s signature red and gold colours, are expected to take part in the parade, which will start from Vidhana Soudha, one of the city’s most iconic administrative landmarks, and end at their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Royal Challengers fans, termed the ‘12th Man Army’, will flock in numbers to witness their heroes from the finale, especially their talismanic batter and former captain, Virat Kohli, as well as current skipper Rajat Patidar at the RCB victory parade.
