India will resume Day 3 of the third Test against England at Lord’s with KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant at the crease, having ended Day 2 at 145/3. Their performance so far mirrors England’s showing, with the hosts having posted a first-innings total of 387. England got off to a rough start on Day 2 as Jasprit Bumrah struck early, claiming three quick wickets to halt their momentum. He ended Joe Root’s century knock at 104 before removing Harry Brook for 11 and captain Ben Stokes for 44.

Brydon Carse and Jamie Smith offered some resistance with half-centuries, but their efforts were short-lived as Mohammed Siraj dismissed both set batters. Bumrah then returned to wrap up the tail, completing his five-wicket haul by dismissing Chris Woakes for a duck and Jofra Archer for just 4, as England folded for a below-par total.
