Hosts China continued to rule the roost on Day 8 of the Hangzhou Asian Games. The Chinese contingent bagged 19 more gold medals on Sunday, with their divers, paddlers, weightlifters and shooters contributing almost half of the 19 gold for the host nation. China consolidated their lead at the top of the medal tally table with 133 gold, 72 silver and 39 bronze adding up to 244 medals. South Korea were in second place with 125 medals (30 gold), and Japan in third spot with 112 podium finishes (29 gold).
