Malachiev brings a stunning record with him into his first ONE Championship appearance.

The Universal Fighters representative boasts a perfect slate of 10-0, and he has gone up against some tough opposition to earn it.

His last three victories have come over opponents with a combined record of 26-2 when he faced them, proving he is ready for the step up in competition that he’ll get in the world’s largest martial arts organization.

#2 He’s A Finishing Machine

The Russian doesn’t just defeat his opponents, he dominates them.

Malachiev has finished eight of his 10 victories inside the distance, including his last five in a row.

With a mix of TKOs and submissions, he has a variety of ways to get the job done.

#3 He Grew Up Wrestling In Dagestan

Hailing from the famous fighting region of Dagestan, Malachiev has combat sports running through his veins.

Like many of his peers, the Russian started wrestling during his childhood and developed his world-class grappling skills in the tough gyms of the North Caucasus.

With their rich wrestling heritage, athletes from Dagestan have brought their unique style to major MMA promotions around the globe. And now, Malachiev looks to do the same in ONE.

#4 He Was A Champion With Khabib’s Eagle FC

Malachiev smashed his way through the Russian scene and in neighboring countries to earn his reputation as one of the best strawweight prospects in the world.

His flawless run of form took him to a title shot at Eagle FC – the promotion owned by MMA legend Khabib Nurmagomedov – which he won in February 2021.

Malachiev successfully defended his belt six months later, securing a first-round submission to retain his gold, and that ultimately led to a contract with ONE.

#5 He Has Trained With The Best

Malachiev calls Universal Fighters home, but he has also spread his wings to train with elite coaches and fighters at world-class gyms.

Like many of his compatriots, he has spent time at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand.

Then, in late 2022, the burgeoning strawweight worked alongside some of the planet’s best MMA fighters at American Top Team in Florida, USA.
