In a distressing incident near Kadirur in this district, three individuals from Assam, including two children, sustained injuries on Sunday while engaged in sorting through junk at a local scrapyard, as reported by the police, as reported by PTI.

According to the preliminary examination conducted by the bomb squad, authorities suspect that the explosion resulted from a country-made bomb.

The victims have been identified as Assam resident Shahid Ali and his sons Nuruddin and Mutalib. Among them, Shahid Ali suffered serious injuries and has been admitted to Pariyaram Medical College, while the children are currently receiving medical care at Koothuparamba Hospital.
