Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan gave the tagline “Haan Main Bhi Ladli Hoon” to the Ladli Laxmis of the state and said that the Ladli Lakshmis should get admission in medical, IIT, IIM, law institutes and other prestigious educational institutions. But their fees will be paid by the state government. For Ladli Lakshmis, a special campaign will be launched in the city and panchayats in the state from May 9 to 15. This includes, sports competitions on May 9, prize distribution to Ladli Laxmi friendly panchayats on May 10, programme on financial and digital literacy on May 11, health check-up, dance and song competition on May 12, visit to government offices including police station on May 13, campaign for e-KYC and painting competition on May 14 and visit to regional tourist places and other places of interest on May 15.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the state level Ladli Lakshmi Utsav focused on respect, guidance and dialogue for daughters in the Chief Minister’s residence premises on Ladli Lakshmi Day. Medical Education Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, MP Sushri Pragya Singh Thakur, MLA Smt. Krishna Gaur, Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, District Panchayat President Smt. Ramkunwar along with a large number of beneficiaries of Ladli Lakshmi scheme and their guardians were present.
State level Utsav conducted by Ladli Lakshmis
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan welcomed Ladli Lakshmis by showering flowers at the Chief Minister’s residence.
The programme started with the lighting the lamp and kanya pujan. Ladli daughter Avni Deshmukh gave welcome address in the programme which started with Madhya Pradesh anthem and Ladli Lakshmi song. The programme included Ganesh Vandana presented by Chetna Sahu and song by Tanishka Arora followed by group Ghoomar dance, solo dance, dance-drama on the impact of Ladli Laxmi Yojana and performance of martial arts for self-defense by the Ladlis. Khushboo Raut gave information about her life struggle and the encouragement she got from Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan released a booklet published on the effective evaluation of the scheme and distributed honors and certificates to the girls. Along with this, prizes were also given to the Gram Panchayats declared Ladli Lakshmi friendly. The stage operation was done by Ladli Lakshmis only.

The scheme changed the attitude of the society towards daughters
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Ladli Laxmi Yojana is completing 16 years. In the state, more than 44 lakh 85 thousand Lakhpati ladlies are now like a family, which is a big achievement for the state. The thinking towards daughters in the society has changed. Girls are showing their talent in all fields. The Ladli Lakshmi Yojana was started 16 years ago with the aim that there should be no second-rate treatment towards daughters, sons and daughters should be considered equal. The Chief Minister said that there used to be a lot of pain and anguish in the society and families considering the daughter as a burden. To improve the status of daughters and to change the outlook of the society, many schemes were started for the education of girls, their better health and training for self-reliance etc. The Chief Minister started the Kanya Vivah Yojana so that the daughter’s marriage should not be considered a burden. The positive effect of all these efforts is visible in the state. 956 daughters are being born in the state for one thousand sons. This improvement in sex ratio is a reflection of the changed outlook of the society and it is a big achievement for the state government.
Efforts continue for women empowerment
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that along with providing all opportunities for progress to daughters, special efforts are also being made for women empowerment. Arrangement of reservation in recruitment in departments including police and school education and reservation of women in panchayats and urban bodies is an important step in this direction.
Gram Panchayat of Bhopal became Ladli Laxmi friendly Panchayat
In Ladli Laxmi friendly gram panchayats, Bhopal's Gram Panchayat Rani Khajuri’s Sarpanch Smt. Anandi Bai Yadav, Gram Panchayat Bhatni District Vidisha’s Sarpanch Smt. Kailash Bai, Sehore's Gram Panchayat Foodra’s Sarpanch Shri Tej Singh Couhan, Raisen’s Gram Panchayat Sier Mau’s Sarpanch Shri Ramesh Shah and Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Chhapra, Rajgarh Shri Kailash Rajput were felicitated by presenting shawls and certificates. It is notable that such gram panchayats where there is respect for the Ladlis, cent percent girls are enrolled in the school, all are vaccinated, no girl child is malnourished, there is no crime against girl child and where there is no child marriage, those panchayats are declared Ladli Laxmi Friendly Panchayats.

Girls honoured for outstanding achievements
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan honoured the Ladli girls who made excellent achievements. Jhabua's Kumari Muskan Bhuria won gold medal in archery competition at the state level, Seoni's Kumari Himani Baghel got the Inspire Award at the state level, Ratlam's Kumari Keshvi Tiwari in Karate at the international level and Ratlam's Kumari Bhavya was awarded with trophy and certificate for the achievement made at the national level in Kho-Kho. Kumari Anushka Dubey of Bhopal has won gold medal in the Open National Competition in Taekwondo, her sister received the trophy and certificate from Chief Minister Shri Chouhan as Ku. Anushka is on a tour. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also gave assurance certificates to three girls.

• Ladli Lavmi Utsav presided over by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was conducted by class 10th girls Srishti Malviya and Rimjhim Tripathi.
• Moderator Ladli Laxmi girls recited self-composed poem in honour of Chief Minister Shri Chouhan, “Mama Ko Dekhte Hi Chehre Par Hansi Aa Jati Hai – Yadi Udas Bhi Ho Man To Khushi Khil Jati Hai” and “Badi Pyari Lagti Hai Tere Chehre Ki Muskan- Pyari Bahanjia Hain, Mama Ki Jaan-Mama Ki Jaan.”
• Avani Deshmukh, daughter of class 12th, in her welcome address said that Ladli Laxmi Yojana has boosted the confidence of girls and they feel proud of themselves due to the various arrangements made by the state government.

• Madhya Pradesh gaan and Ladli gaan - 'Chhuna Hai Hume Aasmaan' was presented by the girls of Jawahar Bal Bhavan in the programme. Girls Vaishnavi, Rishika, Kiran and Suhani presented group Ghoomar dance.
• The impact of Ladli Laxmi Yojana on the society and the changed attitude towards the daughter was beautifully presented in the dance-drama presented by Nadayog Gurukul Dal, Indore.
• In martial arts, the girls presented the tricks of self-defence, being careful and alert from anti-social elements and the methods of saving oneself.
