Jammu And Kashmir: Unidentified Terrorist Killed In Encounter With Security Forces In Kulgam

According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, one Army jawan was injured in the encounter. Police has also confirmed that incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition, were recovered from the spot.

As an encounter broke out in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district between the terrorists and security forces, one unidentified militant was killed on Tuesday.

According to the details, the gunfight was reported from Kulgam district.

Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had confirmed that one Army jawan was injured in the encounter.

"Encounter has started at Hoowra village of #Kulgam district. Police & Security Forces are on the job. One JKP personnel got injured. Operation in progress. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice", tweeted Kashmir Zone Police. 

According to police, incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition, were recovered from the spot.

A search operation was underway in the area.

NIA's raids across districts of Kashmir

As part of the the ongoing investigations into the conspiracy hatched by proscribed Pakistan-backed terrorist outfits, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday, conducted a series of raids across four districts of Kashmir.

As per media reports, twelve locations in the four districts of Kulgam, Bandipora, Shopian and Pulwama were raided as part of the crackdown.
