Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) announces the hosting of the second edition of the Ministry of Education's flagship event, IInvenTiv-2024, on January 19th and 20th, 2024. Under the guidance of Hon’ble Education Minister of India Dharmendra Pradhan, this Research and Development (R&D) fair aims to celebrate innovation and technological advancements. IInvenTiv-2024 serves as a platform to showcase the holistic impact of research and innovation across top Higher Education Institutes in India, fostering collaboration among state universities, institutes, and industry.
The second edition will focus on five key domains: Affordable Healthcare, Agriculture & Food Processing, Sustainable Technologies (Climate Change, E-mobility, Clean Energy), Defence and Space, and Industry 4.0. The event aligns with the thrust areas for Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.

Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan emphasises that IInvenTiv-2024 aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Jan Anusandhan,’ contributing to the strengthening of India’s research and innovation ecosystem.
Notable features include expanded participation from various institutes beyond the 23 IITs, involving NITs, IISERs, IIITs, IISc Bangalore, and the top 50 NIRF-ranked engineering institutions. A carefully curated showcase will present the top 120 innovations from 53 participating technical institutions.
Dr. B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, Chairman, IInvenTiv-2024 Steering Committee, stresses the importance of collaboration between academia and industry to capitalize on research endeavors and facilitate industrial investments.
The event will feature presentations of selected projects in designated booths, with representatives from over 2000 industries and key government officials expected to attend. Panel discussions for each domain will convene experts to explore challenges and opportunities.
