Delhi Police Arrest Two More Suspects In Amazon Executive's Killing

In a concerning development, two additional individuals have been apprehended by the police in relation to the tragic killing of an Amazon executive in Bhajanpura, northeast Delhi. The suspects, identified as Sohail (23), a resident of Noor-e-Elahi in Bhajanpura, and Jubair (23), hailing from Mohanpuri in the same locality, have been taken into custody, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to four.

The incident transpired around 11:30 pm on Thursday, when law enforcement received a tip-off about the whereabouts of the accused. The authorities swiftly acted on this information, intercepting Sohail and Jubair near Burari as they attempted to flee towards Punjab, as revealed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (northeast) Joy Tirkey, PTI reported. 

Reports from the police unveil that the victim, Harpreet Gill, along with his friend Govind Singh, embarked on a motorcycle ride through Subhash Vihar in Bhajanpura. Tragedy struck as a group of five individuals intercepted them, leading to a violent altercation. In a shocking twist, Harpreet Gill suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head, resulting in his immediate demise. Govind Singh, on the other hand, sustained an injury to his right ear from a bullet.

Harpreet Gill held a prominent position as a senior manager at Amazon, while Govind Singh, aged 32, operates a local eatery named 'Hungry Momos' and resides in Bhajanpura. The assailants, riding a combination of scooters and motorcycles, ambushed the duo, unleashing gunfire upon them. Govind Singh is currently receiving medical treatment at LNJP Hospital as the authorities press forward with their investigation into this distressing incident.
