- Gujarat Muslim Revenge Force: Came into being after the post-Godhra riots. Involved in the August 2003 blasts in Mumbai. Has bases in Maharashtra, UP and Bihar.
- Al Umma: Involved in serial blasts in Coimbatore in 1998. Has bases in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Known to have links with Pakistan-based outfit.
- Muslim Defence Force: Active in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Responsible for blasts in Hyderabad, Karim Nagar and Nizamabad.
- Deendar Anjum: Founded in Karnataka. Though banned, continues to operate in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Goa. Linked to LeT and Hizbul Mujahideen.
- Asif Reza Commando Force: Involved in terror attack on American Centre in Calcutta in 2002. Based in Malda district near Indo-Bangladesh border.
- Islamic Defence Force: Active in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Was involved in train and bus bomb blasts in Chennai in 1997-98.
- Al-mum-Touheem Force: Active in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Formed in Dindigul in 2003. Linked to LeT.
- Ahle Hadis: Takes its name from the Islamic school of thought. Headquartered in Moradabad, UP, a front organisation for the LeT. Involved in a series of bomb blasts in and around Delhi in the wake of the Babri Masjid demolition. Has also set up base in Maharashtra.
