75th Emmy Awards postponed; to be held on THIS date next year

The 75th Emmy Awards have been postponed. The awards were supposed to take place in September. However, the grand event will now be held in January 2024.

The 75th Emmy Awards event which was supposed to take place on September 18, 2023, has now been postponed to January 15, 2024, according to reports. The agency in a joint statement said that due to labour issues with major studios, Hollywood writers and performers are on strike leading to the deferring of the awards. 

Meanwhile, back in July, the nominations for the highest honours in television were announced. The news came just before the dual work stoppage was announced.Hollywood actors in June joined writers for film and television who have been picketing since May as a result of the failure of talks between the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and major studios.

Since 1960, this marks the first time when writers and actors have gone on strike together. The production of scripted television shows and films has been impacted severely due to the strike. 
The HBO drama "Succession," which is based on the story of a family's ruthless struggle for control of a media empire, and the series named "The Last of Us" are the front-runners for television's Emmy awards. Other shows which are competing for the best drama are:

When and Where to Watch the Emmy Awards? 

People can watch the Emmy Awards on Fox from the Peacock Theater at LA Live on Jan. 15. Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon, and Jeannie Rouzan-Clay of Jesse Collins Entertainment will serve as executive producers of the Emmy Awards.
