40 centuries ago, in an era of no satellite technology, GPS or gizmos, ancient architects aligned eight Shiva temples across a 2,383 kilometer stretch, forming the Shiv Shakti Aksh Rekha, across a straight line from Kedarnath to Rameswaram, at the 79° longitude. Five of these temples represent the Panchabhutas.

While historians and archaeologists are researching to find out the secret behind such magnificent engineering, 79° Longitude, the brainchild of Gumpanpally Santosh Kulkarni, a CA by profession and a yogi by passion has created a yogic village at Agonda, Goa, with a mission to awaken the third eye.

“The eye through which I see God is the same eye through which God sees me. Similarly, The Shiva temples on the 79° Longitude have a sacred alignment towards the kundalini chakra, and helps yogis as well as common people to concentrate on their mind and control it. Shiva is the Adi Yogi who inculcated wisdom in the Saptarishis. He is an ascetic, a warrior, a leader of spirits, yet is the benevolent mystic. At 79° Longitude, we believe in Yoga, aligning with the divine and achieving Siddhi, the ancient Indian way.”

79° Longitude has begun its humble journey with its yogic village at Agonda, Goa, and is all set to spread the globe over. “79 ° Longitude aligns us global citizens with an invisible thread using God's Positioning System (GPS). We plan our headquarters in Ujjain, which, according to Surya Siddhanta, a 4th-century astronomical treatise, is considered the navel of the earth,” he concludes.
