Trisha Krishnan Reacts To Mansoor Ali Khan's Apology Over His Controversial Remarks

Actor Mansoor Ali Khan landed himself in hot water over his 'misogynistic' comments against actress Trisha Krishnan. However, he issued an apology yesterday. The latter has reacted to the apology of the actor.

Mansoor Ali Khan released a statement saying, "My co-actress Trisha, Forgive me. Let the god bless me by having me during your wedding.''

Trisha, without mentioning his name, wrote on the X platform, "To err is human, to forgive is divine."

For the unversed, the National Commission for Women directed the Thousand Lights All-Women Police to book the ‘Captain Prabhakaran’ actor under Sections 354 A (sexual harassment) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage modesty of woman) of the Indian Penal Code. He was booked after the complaint.

After summons were issued against Mansoor Ali Khan, he gave a statement asking for more time claiming that he was suffering from a throat infection.

Earlier, the National Commission for Women took suo motu cognisance of the matter and issued directions to the Tamil Nadu police to register a case against Khan.

In one of the interviews that went viral on social media, Mansoor said that he hoped to have a rape scene in 'Leo' starring Trisha just like he did in other films with actresses like Khushboo and Roja.

Trisha slammed him as she wrote on X platform, “A recent video has come to my notice where Mr Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner. I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind.”

Trisha played the female lead in Thalapathy Vijay starrer Lokesh Kanagaraj's directorial 'Leo', Mansoor had a brief role and he did not share screen space with the 'Ponniyin Selvan' actress in the film.
