Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, on Friday evening, surprised his fans by announcing his next, which is titled Battle of Galwan. He also unveiled a riveting motion poster which gives us a glimpse of his character.
Salman Khan's first look poster from Battle Galwan
The poster shows Salman Khan with bloodstains all over his face. He sports a moustache, and gives an intense look which shows his patriotism for the country. The movie is about India's most brutal battle fought over 15,000 feet above sea level, without firing a single bullet. It is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops.
The motion poster perfectly captures the intensity, essence and pride the film is all set to deliver. Salman is said to be playing the character of Colonel B Santosh Babu, who led the 16th Bihar Infantry Battalion (or the 16 Bihar) during the Galwan Valley clash. The upcoming film will be directed by Apoorva Lakhia.
The film's official handle shared the motion poster on Instagram, with a caption, "Some battles don't need bullets to be won(sic)".
Battle of Galwan is produced by Salman Khan Films. Himesh Reshammiya is taken on board as the music composer of the film. The war drama also stars Harshil Shah, Ankur Bhatia, and Heera Sohall among others. The release date of Battle of Galwan is yet to be announced.
About Galwan Valley clash
The clash that took place on June 15, 2020, between Indian and Chinese troops, in the Galwan Valley in eastern Ladakh, resulted in casualties on both sides. It took lives of 20 Indian Army personnel, including a commanding officer (CO). It is termed the biggest military confrontation in over five decades, which worsened relations between both the neighbouring countries.
Coming back to Salman Khan, he was last seen in Sikandar, with Rashmika Mandanna. The film tanked at the box office. With Battle of Galwan, the anticipation level has increased and fans are waiting with bated breath to see Khan donning the uniform of the Indian Army.
