Kiara Advani Reveals Sidharth Malhotra Started Saying Lines From ‘Shershaah’ During Proposal In Rome

Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra tied the knot earlier this year and their dreamy wedding photos were loved by everyone. Now the actress, who was a guest on Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee with Karan’ this week with Vicky Kaushal, revealed how she had a hint that Sidharth was going to propose but she didn’t actually know the details of it.

She mentioned that when Sidharth was on Koffee with Karan with Vicky Kaushal last season, they had just returned from Rome where he had proposed to her. Kiara further revealed how they were on a family holiday with Sid’s parents, but her parents couldn’t join them.

Kiara also shared that when she and Sidharth had discussed that they wanted to spend their lives together, she asked the actor to tell her parents first. “I told him all this is fine but you have to speak to my parents. You first ask them, take their permission. Let’s do it the right way. They’ll be happy,” Kiara recalled.

Sharing details about the proposal, Kiara said that it happened on the first day of their trip and Sidharth took her to a Michelin star restaurant in Rome. They were joined by his little nephew, who was actually there to click pictures of their big moment. 

Mentioning how she did not expect it to happen on the first day itself, Kiara said, “He planned the works. He had done this candlelight dinner. We go back after dinner, and he takes me up for a walk. We go up and suddenly the violinist comes out of the bushes playing and sweetly his little nephew is taking our video from behind the bushes. He then goes on one knee and proposes. I was not expecting it that night so I was so overwhelmed, I didn’t say anything.”

When Kiara did not say much, Sidharth started saying lines from his proposal scene in ‘Shershaah’. “After his whole speech, he doesn’t know what to say to me and he starts saying the lines of Shershaah. He’s like ‘Dilli ka seedha sada launda hun’, and what he said to me in the movie, the full dialogue of Shershaah. Then I burst out laughing,” Kiara mentioned on ‘Koffee With Karan 8’. 

Last but not the least, Kiara said that since his family was there, they could all celebrate together and they also video-called Kiara’s parents, and Karan Johar.
