‘It Was The Year I Started Playing With A Band’

At 17, I was just discovering playing music with a band. Having trained in Hindustani for four years, I was finally stepping out and singing with a band. I had just moved from Chennai to Bombay, to study in St Andrews College. I made some of my best friends there. One of my lasting memories is watching The Last Samurai, all by myself. And the most horrid ones? The Mumbai blasts that year. They were really frightening.
