Adarsh Gourav Reveals His Future Plans: I Want To Start Directing, I Want To Be A Filmmaker

Adarsh Gourav has plans apart from acting. The actor who will be seen next in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ revealed that he wants to try filmmaking and direction. He also talked about how he is always up for diversifying his skill set as a creator.

In a conversation with The Indian Express, Adarsh Gourav spoke about how he wants to direct films. He mentioned that he writes songs as well. He said, “I don’t even know for how long I am going to be an actor. I want to direct films, I already write. I want to start directing, I want to be a filmmaker.”

The actor also spoke about using Instagram as a platform to share his work. He added, “If it is not Instagram, it is going to be something else. What is important for me as a creator is that I constantly work on my skill set, what I am interested in and develop that. Instagram is a temporary source of distraction and a platform for me to put up my songs. Today it is Instagram, tomorrow it is going to be something else but what is going to remain is my idea of being a storyteller.”

In earlier interviews, Adarsh Gourav also opened up about the physical transformation that he had to undergo for the role. In ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’, the actor plays the role of a fitness trainer who is dating an influencer.

Earlier this year, Adarsh Gourav was seen in Netflix’s ‘Guns & Gulaabs’ where he played the role of Chota Ganchi. He was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role and the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead for his role in ‘The White Tiger.’

‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’ also stars Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in lead roles. It is set to stream on Netflix from December 26 onwards.
