'Sam Bahadur' Box Office Day 17: Vicky Kaushal Starrer Crosses Rs 100 Crore Mark Worldwide

'Sam Bahadur' that hit the screens on December 1 has finally crossed the Rs 100 crore mark worldwide. Yes, you read that right. Vicky Kaushal starrer Meghna Gulzar's directorial has entered the coveted Rs 100 crore club globally. The biopic on India's first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw is facing tough competition with Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Animal' that released on the same day. However, word of mouth helped 'Sam Bahadur' to achieve the feat. Had it been not released with 'Animal', it would have performed well. 

On Day 17, on Sunday, the film witnessed growth at the box office as it earned Rs 5.25 crore net, as per a report in Sacnilk. In the first week it minted Rs 38.8 crore while in the second week, it raked in Rs 25.8 crore. So, 'Sam Bahadur's total box office collection in India stands at Rs 76.6 crore. It had an overall 42.69% Hindi occupancy on Sunday.

Vicky Kaushal took to his Instagram handle to share the great news. ''Sam Bahadur marches on with pride & victory at the box office, and we are grateful! 🙏❤,'' he captioned the post.

'Sam Bahadur' also starred Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra in pivotal roles. 

Recently, Vicky thanked his fans for showering love on his movie. He also shared an anecdote as he wrote, “Makeup on, listen to his favourite jazz music and stare into that mirror till I start believing the guy in the mirror is Sam. Living your days believing to be SAM is a rare honour and a mammoth responsibility. The love you all are showering for our efforts is truly gratifying. Thank you!”

Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's crime drama 'Animal', has collected Rs 835.9 crore globally.
