A parody trailer of a new ‘Home Alone’ movie is doing rounds on social media. The fan-edited trailer called ‘Home Alone 3 – Kevin’s Revenge’ has got fans requesting Macaulay Culkin to play the role of Kevin McCallister once again.

The fan-edited trailer has taken snippets from other shows and movies that feature Culkin and Catherine O’Hara. It sets to chronicle around Kevin McCallister who invades the house of the bandits who had wreaked havoc in his house. It shows that the film is set after Marv Murchins and Harry Lyme have been released from prison. It has been more than three decades since the first ‘Home Alone’ film was released in 1990. The film has grown to be an important part of pop culture.

The voiceover in the trailer says, “Kevin McCallister is back, except this family is a little weird around Christmas.” The parody trailer shows Kevin confronting his mother and how she left him alone to defend the house on Christmas. It features the same tricks Kevin had used in the 1990 film to defend his house. It also includes some of the iconic scenes from the original film.

The parody trailer has got fans asking Macaulay Culkin and Catherine O’Hara to feature in a new ‘Home Alone’ movie together. Some fans also said if this was a real film, they would have gone to the theatres to watch it on the big screen.

The actor featured in just two films of the franchise, but the audience remembers his role with fondness. ‘Home Alone 4’ which was released in 2002 saw Mike Weinberg playing the role of Kevin McCallister. However, the audience yearned to see Macaulay Culkin back in the same role.
