The Calcutta Management Association (CMA) successfully hosted the 3rd CMA MSME Conclave & Awards 2026 on 16 January 2026 at Hotel Hindusthan International (HHI), Kolkata, bringing together policymakers, industry leaders, management professionals, and MSME entrepreneurs for a day of meaningful dialogue, learning, and recognition.
The conclave was seamlessly steered by the Master of Ceremony, Mr. Gautam Mukhopadhyay, Executive Committee Member, CMA. Following the ceremonial lamp lighting, the Inaugural Address was delivered by Mr. Indranil Banerjee, President, CMA; the immediate former President of CMA, Mr. G. M. Kapur, also welcomed the gathering with encouraging introductory remarks. The inaugural technical session featured the Theme Address on “Ease of Doing Business: Realities and Roadmap for MSMEs in India” by Mr. Abhishek Ghosh Dastidar, EoDB Cell, Department of MSME & Textiles, Government of West Bengal, who shared policy perspectives relevant to MSMEs, including ease of doing business and institutional facilitation.
This was followed by a contemporary knowledge session on “Labour Codes: the emerging HR agendas for MSMEs” by Mr. Indranil Banerjee, and an engaging address titled “Value Creation: The Success Code” by Mr. Vibhor Tandon, Vice President, CMA. Ms. Sohini Gooptu, Treasurer, CMA, expressed gratitude to the participants, patrons, and supporters for contributing to the success of the event.
Post-lunch, the session on “Financing the Future: Access to Credit, Equity & Alternate Funding for MSMEs” was conducted as an interactive fireside chat, with Mr. Rajneesh Kumar, DGM–MSME, State Bank of India, in conversation with Mr. Debasish Mukherjee, EC member, CMA. All the sessions witnessed active participation from the audience through insightful questions. The subsequent sessions included “Lessons in Growth, Discipline and Resilience” by Mr. Supriyo Sinha, Director – Business Transformation & Corporate Strategy, Peerless Group; an encouraging address appreciating the MSME ecosystem in West Bengal by Swami Vedatitananda, Correspondent, Ramakrishna Mission Shilpamandira; and an engaging Business Quiz conducted by Mr. Abhishek Kar.

The conclave culminated in the 3rd CMA MSME Awards Ceremony, recognising exemplary MSMEs across key categories.

Best Social Impact – Destiny Foundation
Digital Prowess at Workplace – Reason Analytics Softech Pvt. Ltd.
Environmental Sustainability – Upscale Fashion Pvt. Ltd.
The 1st and 2nd runners-up in each category were also felicitated by the dignitaries.
The awards were presented by a distinguished group of dignitaries, including Mr. Indranil Banerjee, Swami Vedatitananda, Mr. Supriyo Sinha, Mr. Pradip Agarwal, Dr. Arijit Banerjee, Mr. Gautam Mukhopadhyay, Mr. Suvendu Narayan Roy, Mr. Debabrata Mitra, Ms. Ina Bose, Mr. Debasish Mukherjee, Mr. Aditya Sen, Mr. Amit Srivastava, Mr. Rajat Prusty, and Dr. Rana Bandyopadhyay.
The Jury Members—Mr. Debabrata Mitra, Ex-Jt. Director MSME DFO; Mr. Rajat Kumar Prusty and Mr. Praveen Srivastava, both EC members, CMA—judged the nominations complied with Udyam registration. CMA felicitated them, as well as the sponsors, with mementoes, acknowledging their valuable time, guidance, and support.
On behalf of the governing body of CMA, Mr. Pradip Bandyopadhyay, Mr. Debraj Roy, and Mr. Rahul Chattopadhyay were also present during the event.
The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Arijit Banerjee, EC member, CMA, marking the successful completion of one of CMA’s annual signature events.
