CJP condemed the "insentive action" of the Dahiya stating that his conduct was "unacceptable, a complete lack of judgment, and inconsistent with the values and principles of the movement."

The decision came after the clip triggered criticism on social media, with people questioning Dahiya's absence from the protest site as demonstrators were allegedly being lathicharged and detained by the police.

Arvind Kejriwal arrived at the Jantar Mantar protest site and addressed the students there. Interacting with the media there he criticised PM Modi while asking students to stay firm.

"Modi ji doesn't have his own children, so he doesn't know what it is to have children. All these are our children. It is not right to beat up children. FIRs have been registered against students. I want to tell the students to stand firm. Even the biggest dictator has to bow down before the public," he said.

Aam Admi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal along with Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Atishi, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and former MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj arrived at the Jantar Mantar Protest site. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke was also present there.

The AAP leaders interacted with the protesters and heard their grievances.

NCP(SP) Chief Sharad Pawar visited the Jantar Mantar protest site to enquire about the protesting students and police brutality at yesterday's march.

Pawar also met with and had a chat with Dipke who thanked him for standing with students at such a time.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh has reached Lok Kalyan Marg to meet with Rahul Gandhi.

Gandhi along with other Congress leaders has been protesting against the Prime Minister and the Education Minister at the location.

Former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi was detained by police officials after he was protesting for the resignations of PM Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

This is BJP's terrorism. They don't listen to the students," he told reporters on his detention as he was hauled away by the police.

The Cockroach Janta Party has removed Vijeta Dahiya as spokesperson. The announcement was made on their 'X' handle.

The post stated his insensitive conduct recorded on video during yesterday's CJP protests as the reason behind the sacking.

Congress workers protesting at Lok Kalyan Marg have been detained by the police.

Senior leaders from the party including president Maliikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi are holding a protest there demnding the resignations of PM Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Congress General Secretary in-charge Communications, Jairam Ramesh, announced on X that the All India Congress Committee has instructed its legal team to assist demonstrators that have been detained, arrested or attacked during the ongoing protests. He published the email addresses of the AICC legal team members and also released a google form for their convenience.

Along with party president Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi, other senior Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, KC Venugopal, Pawan Khera and others hold a protest at Lok Kalyan Marg. They are demanding the resignations of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has escalated the opposition’s demands over the NEET exam row, calling directly for the removal of the Union Education Minister.

Questioning the Prime Minister's reluctance to take action against his close associates, Yadav stated: "Our demand is simple. The NEET examination has already been conducted again. We are only asking for a new Minister. We are not seeking the removal of the government through this demand."

However, the SP chief issued a stark warning regarding the government's handling of the crisis, adding that if the ruling party fails to act, the public will remove them through the power of their vote.

Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Sulata Deo has strongly criticized the police action against students protesting the NEET paper leak at Jantar Mantar, calling the use of lathi-charge and tear gas on a peaceful gathering completely unjustified.

Stating that no party has the right to assault students raising valid concerns about the education system, Deo emphasized that the violence was unacceptable. She also questioned the timing of the government's outreach, pointing out that if Union Minister JP Nadda is now being sent to seek their representation, authorities could have simply listened to the students earlier instead of resorting to force.

Dr. Rohan Krishnan, Chief Patron of the Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA), has expressed strong support for activist Sonam Wangchuk's right to decide where he receives his medical treatment.

Weighing in on the ongoing legal proceedings regarding Wangchuk's hospital transfer, Dr. Krishnan emphasized that the fundamental medical principle of patient autonomy must always be respected.

Responding to the ongoing row over violence during the CJP protest, ACP Jagdev Singh defended the use of force, stating the crowd was unruly and lacked official permission to gather near Parliament.

He revealed that over 200 security personnel—including officials from the RAF, CAPF, and Delhi Police—sustained injuries during yesterday's clashes. According to Singh, authorities issued more than a hundred warnings to the demonstrators, which were ignored.

Addressing the crackdown directly, the ACP acknowledged that police used force, but maintained it was a last resort. He stated the action only occurred after protesters began breaking barricades and creating unrest, noting that officers first had to rescue women, children, the elderly, and specially abled individuals who had been pushed to the frontlines of the barricading.

The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has issued a press release strongly condemning the reported use of force against resident doctors and medical students during recent protests.

Expressing solidarity with the affected healthcare personnel, FAIMA stated that violence against medical professionals is completely unacceptable. The association demanded strict accountability for any excessive force, key assurances regarding the safety and dignity of doctors, and urgent dialogue with stakeholders to reach a peaceful resolution. FAIMA has also called on Resident Doctors' Associations across the country to stand united while ensuring all ongoing demonstrations remain peaceful and disciplined.

The Delhi High Court is set to pass an order in the post-lunch session on a plea filed by activist Sonam Wangchuk's wife, seeking his transfer from Safdarjung Hospital to Medanta Hospital.

During the hearing, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta informed the court that the government has no objection to the move. He added a specific caveat, however, stating that Wangchuk must not discharge himself from Medanta Hospital against medical advice once admitted.

A young woman who sustained injuries during police action at the CJP protest is currently in critical condition.

According to sources at RML Hospital, the injured protester has been placed on a ventilator.

CPI MP P Sandosh Kumar has arrived at the ongoing CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, launching a direct attack on the Home Ministry over the recent assault on protesting students.

Questioning the accountability of the Delhi Police, Kumar demanded immediate transparency from the Central Government, "More than 300 students were attacked. Who is responsible for this? The Delhi Police is under Amit Shah, isn't it? He should come to the House and make a statement. The country should know what happened."

"Students and young people were lathi-charged, tear gas was used, and the government is being discredited. Doctors have said that many students arrived with serious head injuries. Is this what the government's slogan of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas' stands for? Is this the path to a developed India or becoming a 'Vishwaguru'? If there were irregularities and a paper leak in the NEET exam, the responsibility lies with the government. This is not limited to Delhi; paper leaks are occurring in BJP-ruled states, including Uttar Pradesh. The BJP is not acting against its ministers because it fears they may reveal hidden facts." Yadav told reporters.

"We raised the topic regarding the assault on students, the lathi charge, the tear gas shells that were used, and the beatings that led to many people being admitted to the hospital... We got ready to stand up and speak, but after speaking just one word, the microphone was turned off. This is democracy?" the Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge told reporters.

Union Health Minister JP Nadda met the director of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RML) Dr Akhilandeshwari Prasad. Most of the injured protesters from yesterday's march are admitted in the RML hospital.

Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi, along with Congress MPs Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and KC Venugopal, arrived at RML hospital to meet with injured protesters admitted at the hospital.

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, spoke to the media in the parliament premises where he criticised the Prime Minister's purported silence.

"Modi ji has not even apologised for what happened yesterday. The youth are protesting against the education and testing system. The whole country knows that the education and testing system is hollowed out by termites. Why is the Prime Minister silent? He should apologise to the students and stop this nonsense of thrashing students," Gandhi said.

Azad Samaj Party Chief and Lok Sabha MP Chandrashekhar while on protest criticised the government action against students.

“Government can't crush student's demands with lathicharge; they must listen and resolve their concerns”, he told PTI.

Security at Safdarjung Hospital, where Sonam Wangchuk is admitted, remains tight on Tuesday.

The hospital has said that Wangchuk's health remains stable even as his sugar and potassium levels remain low. The hospital has recommended sustained medical supervision for him.

"Sonam Wangchuk was about to end his fast yesterday. We had convinced him, but he decided to continue after the police brutality during the protests," says Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke.

Speaking to ANI the MP from Waynad tore into the government over their handling of the protests.

"I think it's absolutely disgusting. This is no way. These are young people. They have a genuine problem. We all know what that problem is...They want a bright future for themselves. They see that there is a possibility for a future and you are destroying that furture. So, this is a very deep problem and has been there for many years...The least the PM can do is hear them out, listen to them, call them and understand what the issue is. They are asking rightly for the resignation of the minister (Union Education Minister). He is the person who is responsible..." she said.

On Tuesday, taking to his Instagram stories, Dosanjh penned a note in Punjabi, condemning the alleged attack on students. The note is translated to English as: "What happened today was very wrong… Students should not have been treated like this… I request the authorities to listen to the students’ demands… The voice of the people is the voice of God."

Addressing reporters after the NDA parliamentary meeting held before day 2 of the monsoon session, Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, said that the Prime Minister in the meeting made it clear that the government stands with students and paper leaks are a matter of national concern.

The remarks came after a day of intense protests from the CJP over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 Paper Leak Scandal.

Speaking to ANI before Tuesday's parliament session BJP MP from Mandi, Kangana Ranaut thanked Delhi Police for acting as a shield.

"All parliamentarians were inside the Parliament. We all were scared, thinking that the mob might attack us. I appreciate Delhi Police for playing the role of a shield, not letting people get harmed," she said.
