China on Friday announced plans to permit the return of “some" Indian students stranded in India for over two years following the visa and flight restrictions imposed by Beijing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The MP government has already decided to provide free lodging and food to the returning students in Delhi and transport them to their homes in the central Indian state.
Education Minister Jitu Vaghani had earlier stated that some 2,500 students from Gujarat were stuck in Ukraine after that country was invaded by Russia.
Pandita, who hails from Kashmir, reached Indira Gandhi International Airport in an Indigo flight from Poland's Rzeszow around 12.40 pm.
The control room traced 184 Jharkhand students stranded in different parts of Ukraine till Friday, an official release said.
The evacuated Indian students from war ravaged Ukraine said they were confined in a bunker and had no water and food.
