The unsaid charges
- Under-performance: It's quite apparent from public statements of both coach Bob Woolmer and skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq that they feel Shoaib performed below par. Off the record, some officials in the PCB attribute it to Shoaib's captaincy ambitions.
- Long run-up: Not bowing to the team's requirements by refusing to reduce his 30-yard run-up despite the fact that Inzy was under the sword of suspension because of slow over-rates.
- No team man: Lionising his own feats and mentioning lack of support from others. It reportedly raised a rebellion (though denied by Woolmer and Inzy) over his inclusion in the team.
- Off-field breaks: Walking off the field too often due to injuries that are either perceived as fake or not so serious to put the team's cause in jeopardy. It happened twice on the Australian tour.
