Delhi Capitals continued their horrendous form in the IPL 2023 as they crashed to a 57-run defeat at the hands of Rajasthan Royals, completing a hat-trick of one-sided defeats in this edition, in Guwahati on Saturday. RR opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a scintillating 60 as Jos Buttler showed no signs of finger pain en route to a chiselled 79 as Rajasthan Royals posted a challenging 199 for 4. In reply, Kiwi pacer Trent Boult ran through the DC top-order (3/29 in 4 overs) as he squared up Prithvi Shaw (0). The very next ball sent Manish Pandey (0) rooted to his crease for a plumb leg before decision. Despite a heroic inning from Warner (65 off 55 balls), DC's innings came crashing down.
