South Africa's wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock registered his second consecutive century at the Cricket World Cup 2023 in their round robin match against five-time champions Australia at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Thursday. (Live Scorecard | Live Streaming | Preview | Full Coverage)

The 30-year-old southpaw reached his 19th ton in 90 deliveries with eight fours and five maximums. What's more, QdK had also notched up a century in Proteas' opening game win over Sri Lanka.

The southpaw also became the second South African to have scored back-to-back tons at the World Cup after AB de Villiers back in 2011 World Cup.

De Kock is playing on his 'home turf' at the Ekana Stadium, where he plys trade for the IPL team, Lucknow Super Giants. de Kock had announced prior to the 2023 World Cup that he will be retiring from international cricket post this tournament.

Earlier, Aussie skipper Pat Cummins had won the toss and decided to bowl first. Australia rang in two changes to their team with Marcus Stoinis and Josh Inglis coming for Cameron Green and Alex Carey, respectively.

For South Africa, they have brought in Tabraiz Shamsi for Gerald Coetzee.
