London City Lionesses have added a wealth of experience to their squad ahead of their first Women's Super League campaign by signing Nikita Parris.
Parris, a Euro 2022 winner with England, has signed a two-year contract with the newly promoted club on a free transfer after leaving Brighton last week.
In her lone season with the Seagulls, she scored seven goals and registered five assists, with only Lauren Hemp (eight), Mary Fowler (seven), Celin Bizet and Vivianne Asseyi (both six) achieving more.
Across spells with Everton, Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United and Brighton, Parris has made 186 appearances in the WSL, starting 144 of those.
"I'm excited. It's a very ambitious project and I'm really looking forward to meeting all the girls and getting started," she told the club's media channels.
"The project here aligns with the challenges I want to meet and the goals I want to achieve. I'm going to give my all to make sure the team progresses."
In March, Parris became just the fourth player to register 100 WSL goal involvements, having scored 67 goals and assisted 33.
Only Vivianne Miedema (87 goals, 36 assists), Beth Mead (69 goals, 48 assists) and Bethany England (82 goals, 24 assists) have more in the competition's history.
Parris could make her debut for the club against former side Arsenal on September 6.
