The Indian women's U-20 national football team will kick-start their campaign at the AFC U-20 Women's Asian Cup Thailand 2026 when they take on Japan on Wednesday at the Thammasat Stadium.
The match will kick-off at 6:30pm IST and will be streamed live on the FanCode app and website. Head coach Joakim Alexandersson will want his side to begin the campaign with a positive performance against the Japanese.
The fixture won't be easy as Japan are six-time champions of the trophy and remain favourites to lift the cup. The Young Nadeshiko were also crowned World Champions back in 2018.
India are placed a tough Group C alongside Japan, Australia and Chinese Taipei. The top two, along with the two best third-placed teams from three groups, will progress to the Quarter-finals.
