India Champions have managed to make it to the semifinals of the World Championship of Legends 2025 taking place in England. India Champions defeated West Indies Champions in the last league game of the competition to sneak into the top four. The win meant that despite only a single win, India managed to get into the semifinals.
How India Champions Qualified for semifinals?
India had a horror time in the WCL 2025 before their last game. The match between India and Pakistan was cancelled leading to both teams sharing a point each.
After that India lost three consecutive matches to get into a spot of bother. India could only score 111 runs in a rain-affected game against South Africa to lose by 88 runs. They were then handed a penultimate-ball loss by Australia before England too gave them a 23-run beating.
After three back-to-back losses, India were left with no choice but to beat West Indies, their last opponent, by a massive margin. And they did just that.
India restricted West Indies to 144/9 and then chased down the target in just 13.2 overs to go over England on Net Run Rate and seal the last spot in the top four.
