Steven Kapur is his real name and he was among the first to fuse Asian sounds with pop, reggae and hip-hop in the early ’90s. The Birmingham-born singer-arranger’s fame came with the reggae-inspired Arranged Marriage and funky Boomshakalak. But repetition got him. Comeback’s proved elusive despite an acting gig in Tamil film Lovebirds.
