Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the global eagerness for the historic Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, underscoring the combined strength of "vikas" (development) and "virasat" (heritage) propelling the nation forward. Speaking at a public meeting after inaugurating a refurbished railway station and airport in Ayodhya, he invoked Lord Ram's transformative journey from "living under a tent" to having a concrete abode, echoing progress seen in the lives of four crore impoverished individuals.

In a poignant appeal, PM Modi urged people to celebrate the event by lighting special diyas, Shri Ram Jyoti, in their homes, envisioning it as a symbolic Deepawali. Addressing the residents, he recognized their enthusiasm while urging restraint, "It is my 'karbaddh prarthana' (prayer with folded hands) because everyone wishes that they (people) themselves should come to Ayodhya to witness the event of January 22, but you also know that it is not possible for everyone."

In addition to the global celebration, PM Modi called for a renewed commitment to cleanliness, urging Ayodhya residents to make their city the cleanest in India. He extended this responsibility to all citizens, requesting a nationwide cleanliness drive at religious sites and temples from January 14-22. In his words, "This is the responsibility of the residents of Ayodhya."
