In a daylight robbery, two men disguised as online delivery workers stole jewellery worth over ₹20 lakh from a store in Ghaziabad’s Link Road area on Thursday.
The armed suspects, wearing Blinkit and Swiggy uniforms, entered Mansi Jewellers around midday and took off with 125 grams of gold and more than 20 kilograms of silver. CCTV footage shows the two pushing a man inside the store and forcing him to submit at gunpoint, before filling valuables into a bag. They fled on a motorcycle shortly after, as reported by PTI.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Trans Hindon) Nimish Patil told PTI, “The unidentified miscreants were wearing the uniforms of Blinkit and Swiggy to avoid suspicion." "We have formed six teams to investigate the case, and arrests will be made soon”.
No arrests had been made till now.
