- State governments and district collectors will be the registering authorities for NGOS which will receive funds from abroad.
- NGOS can have more than one bank account for utilisation of their funds but only one account for receipt of funds.
- Registration of NGOS will be valid only for a period of five years.
- Penalties can be imposed by the state government if money is not utilised for the stated objectives. The registration of an NGO can be cancelled by district collectors.
