Jharkhand: IED Explosion By Naxalites Kills CRPF Soldier, 1 Other Injured

As per media reports, the two soldiers, Inspector Bhupender and Constable Rajesh, were part of a joint operation against Naxalites in the region. It has been reported that Constable Rajesh succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while Inspector Bhupender is in a stable condition with minor injuries.

As an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was detonated by Naxalites in Jharkhand's forest hills located near Tumbahaka and Sarjomburu villages on Thursday, a soldier from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Cobra Battalion 209 was killed while another sustained injuries.

As per media reports, the two soldiers, Inspector Bhupender and Constable Rajesh, were part of a joint operation against Naxalites in the region.Both of them were airlifted to Ranchi for treatment following the blast.

It has been reported that Constable Rajesh succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while Inspector Bhupender is in a stable condition with minor injuries.

According to Jharkhand Police IG (Operations) Amol Vinukant Homkar, "Today, two soldiers of CoBRA 209 got injured in the IED blast carried out by Naxalites. Inspector Bhupender and Constable Rajesh got injured and were evacuated to Ranchi by helicopter. During treatment, Rajesh succumbed to his injuries and Bhupender's condition is stable with minor injuries. A joint operation by forces is underway in the area..."
