After a two-month long pause amid a diplomatic row with Canada, India has resumed electronic visa services for Canadian nationals, as per media reports. Since September 21, the visa services were suspended as the bilateral ties between the two countries had taken a big hit.

The diplomatic row stemmed from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's explosive allegation on Indian governmnet's involvement in orchestrating the assassination of pro-Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canadian soil on June.

The two countries have also paused talks on a long-pending trade deal.

Talks on that - on hold since September - may remain on ice as Canada is "focused" on this case, that country's Trade Minister, Mary Ng, suggested. Canada asked for the "pause" before Mr Trudeau's claim.
