  • Feel the currency. The real one will be embossed. The fake feels plain.
  • Put a white paper over the note and roll a cylindrical shaped object on it. If there is a print mark on the white paper, the currency is genuine; if not, it’s fake.
  • The numbers printed at the bottom of the note will glow in the dark when it’s real. Not so in a fake.
  • The security thread will have RBI written on it if the currency is real. In the fake, an impression of the security thread is created with silver print.
