Tech influencer and Canadian YouTube star Linus Sebastian is best known for his channel Linus Tech Tips. Sebastian's remarkable journey began when he started working at weekends for NCIX before becoming a full-time salesperson in their Langley store. Within a few months, he changed his course of life and skyrocketed to the top seller of high-end gaming systems, earning the admiration of colleagues and seniors alike.

His exceptional performance caught the eye of the company's president, who recognized Sebastian's potential and invited him to the Richmond head office. At the head office , Sebastian undertook the all important role of managing system configurations on the company website. His dedication and expertise propelled NCIX to become Canada's premier seller of water cooling parts, a feat that ultimately led him to oversee essential components like motherboards, SSDs, RAM, and networking.

In a few years, Sebastian rose to the position of Category Manager. In 2007, NCIX entrusted him with hosting their technology channel, an initiative to showcase products and compete with market giants 'TigerDirect' and 'Newegg.' Assisted by an editor and a cameraman, Sebastian posted his inaugural video in July 2007. The channel's initial reception was modest, prompting him to launch 'LinusTechTips' in November, 2008.

During his NCIX tenure, Sebastian crossed paths with Luke Lafreniere (SlickPC). Their collaboration gave birth to 'Techquickie' in early 2012 – a channel delivering succinct tech updates. When Sebastian embarked on his own journey, Lafreniere joined him. Together with Edzel Yago and Brandon Lee, they established 'Linus Media Group' from a garage in January 2013. In May 2014, 'Channel Super Fun' emerged. Twitch became a platform for live streaming 'The Wan Show,' a tech talk show hosted by Sebastian and Lafreniere since 2012.

The pair's brainchild, 'The Wan Show,' created 184 episodes by early June 2017, captivating tech enthusiasts.
