Indian Entrepreneur Khushboo Aggarwal is making a difference with her ideas and seeking solutions that have never been sought. A perfect combination of a technocrat and an entrepreneur, Khushboo founded Zyla Health in 2017, based in Delhi, it is India’s leading healthcare management platform.

Khushboo strongly believes that for a nation to progress, its women must work with an unbridled enthusiasm to change the world around them. Therefore at Zyla, Khushboo has been particularly focused on diversity and inclusion, she has team members speaking 12+ languages, people from 20+ cities across India and a culture where mutual respect is promoted. Today she has a team of 60+ members, 60 percent of which are women associates. Unlike most organisations, where women representation in leadership is underwhelming, Zyla has women leading 5 out of 10 teams.

Not only a Founder, Khushboo is also mother to a two year old, and juggles her work and family life perfectly well. She believes that being a mother doesn't slow her down, in fact energizes and inspires her to do more every day.

While Khushboo acknowledges there may be certain biases existing on women entrepreneurship, she believes that she has been lucky to get unending support of her family, spouse and team to build Zyla fearlessly. She adds that women are as strong as they want to be and eventually no biases withstand the will of a woman. Khushboo continues to derive strength from her strong-knit group of hostel mates from BITS Pilani and believes that women to women support is a must for one to move forward.

Khushboo has also laid a deep-rooted focus towards women's health as well, thus Zyla Health is offering multiple programmes like Ova Women’s Health Programme and Ova Pentacare Pregnancy Programme aimed at improving women's health.

Khushboo decided to launch Zyla Health after she was unable to get continuous updates while her father was  hospitalized for a cardiac event triggered by his chronic diabetes. After having failed to find one she decided to launch one instead. She realized the vast difference between the healthcare systems she had worked with and that in India.

Witnessing her father’s trauma sparked an idea. What if she could use her data analysis and consulting expertise—as well as her firsthand knowledge of more patient-centric healthcare systems—to help those suffering from chronic illnesses and avoid costly, life-threatening trips to the hospital with preventative treatment.

According to Khushboo, Zyla's key differentiating factor is that it takes a holistic, clinical approach to provide hyper-personalised and real-time patient care programmes under an experienced team of accomplished doctors and healthcare experts. Its programmes are built on four pillars – medication, nutrition, physiotherapy, and emotional wellbeing – to provide all-around, end-to-end care to the patients.

A pass out from IIM, Kozhikode and BITS, Later she graduated from the GFSA Female Founders bootcamp.  Khushboo also joined the Google for Startups Immersion: Women Founders program to further build her network. She started the program with a four month old baby and appreciated the unique support the fully-female cohort provided, not just for their advice on her business but also for herself personally.

Zyla Health has helped more than one lakh women so far, of which 60 percent have reported diabetes, followed by incidence of other lifestyle disorders such as PCOS/PCOD and thyroid

In Khushboo’s words, “At Zyla care & empathy lie at the core of how we work & engage with patients, which is echoed in the feedback & testimonials we receive from them. Patients see us as a doctor who not only treats them but is an extended family member, a confidant they can openly share what is on their mind. They see us as a motivator who helps them take small steps to a healthier tomorrow.”

Her two cents for fellow women - “My dear fellow women, you were born to create. You are the epitome of empathy and patience. Unleash the power within you and embrace what the world has to offer. Take risks, go out there, innovate and you will discover the unknown energy within you. As a woman, everything is possible, it’s just a matter of being out there.”
