Air Marshal Makarand Ranade Ignites Leadership Dialogue At I.I.M.U.N Vadodara Conclave Hosted By Parul University

Vadodara once again solidified its status as a hub for intellectual exchange as it hosted the 2nd Edition of the I.I.M.U.N Vadodara Conclave on December 5 and 6, 2023, at Parul University's campus. The event brought together eminent personalities from various fields, converging at the Vadodara Student Conclave to share insights, experiences, and inspire students to chart extraordinary career paths. With a remarkable participation of over 16,000 students, the conclave asserted itself as a premier gathering of visionaries, thought leaders, and industry experts committed to fostering collaboration, sparking innovation, and nurturing transformative leadership.

Headlined by Air Marshal Makarand Ranade, the event on Parul University's grounds featured distinguished guests including General Manoj Pande (PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, 29th & Current Chief of the Army Staff), Ajay Piramal (Chairman of Piramal Group), Admiral R. Hari Kumar (PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, 25th & Current Chief of the Naval Staff), and a diverse array of luminaries spanning business, entertainment, and the armed forces.

The armed forces panel, led by Air Marshal Makarand Ranade, delved into insights and experiences from the fields of Army, Navy, and Air Force. Admiral R. Hari Kumar reflected on life in the Indian Navy, emphasizing the importance of dreams and resilience. Air Marshal Makarand Ranade highlighted the significance of mental and physical fitness in aspiring to be in the Armed Forces, and he spoke on leadership, stating that a true leader makes courageous decisions and focuses on professionalism and morale boosting.

The conclave facilitated engaging discussions with renowned personalities such as Lara Dutta, Guneet Monga Kapoor, and Ananya Birla. Lara Dutta discussed the importance of identity at every stage of life, expressing respect for women filmmakers like Guneet, acknowledging their contribution to the industry. Guneet Monga Kapoor shared insights on her journey to becoming an Academy Award-winning producer, encouraging students to embrace change and pursue their dreams.

Amb. T. P. Sreenivasan reflected on India's internationalization policies, emphasizing the satisfaction derived from diplomatic missions and the responsibility of representing 1.3 billion people. Amb. Basant Gupta stressed the importance of building and maintaining international relations in diplomacy.

Ajay Piramal, Chairman of the Piramal Group, discussed the role of businesses and business visionaries in India's success, encouraging students to strive for uniqueness and take risks.
