Pankaj Tripathi Hints At 'Kadak Singh' Sequel: Would Love To Explore Part 2 If Script Is Wonderful

Pankaj Tripathi is undoubtedly one of the most distinguished method actors we have in the industry. He wisely chooses his characters which are mostly complex and effortlessly portrays them. His choices over these years have garnered admiration from fans, as he always brings fresh to the table with his characters. His last release was 'Kadak Singh', which premiered on Zee5 last year. The Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury directorial received positive reviews for its enthralling storyline. Tripathi, who takes centre stage as AK Shrivastava has opened up on the film's success and contemplates the possibility of a sequel.

Pankaj Tripathi, in a candid conversation, shared that reviews hold no sway over him. He emphasizes his focus on the craft and his acting prowess, believing that it is the dedication that immortalizes all his characters on screen. He also dropped hints about the potential sequel, offering insights into what he anticipates in the second instalment of the film.

When asked if film reviews affect him personally, Pankaj Tripathi shared, “Film reviews have become a part and parcel of the industry, but I've learnt not to let them affect me too much. I approach my work with sincerity, and over time, the impact of reviews has decreased for me. But after every role, every actor thinks of the various ways in which he or she could have portrayed the same character. I can only comment with respect to acting. Rest is up to the director or the creators – in terms of what could have been done differently in terms of the screenplay or the storyline”.

Addressing the anticipation of a potential sequel, the 'Mirzapur' actor revealed, "Of course, if it is a wonderful script I would love to explore Part 2 of Kadak Singh."

'Kadak Singh' also stars Parvathy Thiruvothu, Jaya Ahsan, Sanjana Sanghi, Paresh Pahuja, and Varun Buddhadev in pivotal roles.

On the work front, Pankaj Tripathi is currently gearing up for the release of 'Main Atal Hoon' where is playing former late Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The movie is all set to hit the screens on January 19. He also has 'Mirzapur 3' in his kitty.
