The latest Bollywood actor who has fallen prey to deepfakes is Nora Fatehi. The actor shocked everyone when she shared an advertisement that featured someone who looked like her. Sharing the post, she revealed that the person in the picture is not her.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Nora Fatehi shared a post by a brand that was promoting an end-of-season sale. The post by the brand had an image and a video. In the image, the woman looked like Nora Fatehi and she was promoting a 60% + 40% off. In the video that was attached to the post, the woman continues her promotion and reveals that the sale is live. She speaks exactly like Nora Fatehi and sounds also like her. She is dressed in a velvet off-the-shoulder dress and has a stack of gold jewellery on her wrists. She has let her hair loose.

The actor shared that post on her Instagram Story and wrote, “Shocked! THIS IS NOT ME.” She also added a ‘FAKE’ sticker on the post.

Even after being called out by Nora Fatehi, the brand has not pulled the advertisement down. They have turned off the comments on all of their posts. The brand features a lot of advertisements and videos with Nora Fatehi, but it is unclear if those are deepfakes as well. The brand has not replied to this controversy yet.
