Lee Sun-kyun Dies At 48: Agency Requests Fans Not To Spread False Information On 'Parasite' Actor's Death

The late actor Lee Sun-kyun's agency has passed a statement, requesting people to not spread misinformation.

On the morning of December 27, everyone from all over the world went into shock after the news of the death of 'Parasite' actor Lee Sun-kyun was declared. With many speculations building up around his death, and rumours spreading that he committed suicide because of his ongoing drug case, his agency HODU&U Entertainment passed a statement, asking people to not add fuel to fire and not spread false information. 

According to Allkpop, the official statement reads,

"This is HODU&U Entertainment. We are sorry to bring you sad news. Actor Lee Sun Kyun passed away on December 27. There is no way to contain our sorrow and despair. We respectfully ask that you refrain from spreading false facts based on speculation or speculation and malicious reports based on them so that the deceased's final journey will be in peace. The funeral will be held quietly with the bereaved family and colleagues in attendance. We express our deepest condolences on the deceased's final journey."

As per a report by the Seoul Seongbuk Police Station, the actor was found dead in a parked car in Waryong Park. The police began their search after the late actor's wife had called the cops the previous night, stating that her husband had left home and left behind what seemed like either a suicide note or a will, as per various Korean outlets. Upon finding the body, the police confirmed the man to be Lee Sun-kyun.

The news of the actor's death comes amid the ongoing investigation of his illegal drug consumption. There are suspicions of his death being a case of suicide but no official statement has been passed on yet regarding the cause of death.
