'Gumraah' Actor Deepak Kalra: The Brotherhood That Aditya Roy Kapur And I Share Is Not Only In The Film But Also In Real Life

'Gumraah' actor Deepak Kalra has opened up on the bond he shares with Aditya Roy Kapur. 'Gumraah' will hit the big screen on April 7.

Actor Deepak Kalra will be seen playing the role of Chaddi in the film 'Gumraah'. He is a con man and best friend to Ronnie (Aditya Roy Kapur). The film is a crime thriller and has been gaining a lot of attention from the netizens for its cast and the exciting trailer. It also stars Mrunal Thakur and Ronit Roy. The movie is all set to release in theatres on April 7. 

Ahead of the film's release, Deepak, in an exclusive chat with Garima Das of Outlook India opened up about the friendships in the industry and mentioned, "The friendships of the industry are only till the sets. The love I have for my brother Aditya or the love he has for me is not just up to the sets and is quite real".

The actor is very close to Aditya and likes to call the latter his brother. On his bond with Aditya, he said, "The brotherhood that Aditya and I share is not only in the film but also in real life, He has come to my home and we also go for outings".

Deepak also spoke about sharing the screen with Mrunal Thakur. Remembering one of the instances that happened on the sets he shared, "We Delhi people love to feed food to people so once my family hosted dinner for everyone at my place. Also, I remember Mrunal was super hungry between the shoot so I ordered special rolls and momos for everyone on the sets."

Deepak has also been credited by megastar Shah Rukh Khan for his role of Gaurav in the film 'Fan'. He remembered the time when he was called in by Shah Rukh Khan to help his character of Gaurav to fit perfectly as a Delhi boy. The director of 'Gumraah', Vardhan Ketkar also got impressed by Deepak's acting and was often seen getting candid with the actor. Deepak shared his equation with the director and said, "Vardhan sir and I call each other 'Paaji' because of a scene we did in the film. He loved that dialogue and since that day the name has become solid. He is one of the best directors I have worked with".

'Gumraah' will see Aditya in a double role and Mrunal will be seen playing a cop in the film.
