Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor are all set to feature opposite each other in Luv Ranjan’s much-awaited romantic comedy ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’. The trailer of the film has been finally released and it showcases the two playing a game of love, from falling in love to trying and falling out of love as well.

The trailer too focuses on the dating scenario of today’s times, and showcases how a good romance means fun and frolic too. The official synopsis of the film reads, “Madness ensues when a ‘player’ in the world of romantic relationships finds a girl who’s a worthy opponent. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is a film that believes love is a battle of wits. Let the love games begin.”

Meanwhile, the audience is looking forward to the film because of the maiden collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor. Both of them match the energy which is often the trademark of a Luv Ranjan film. As they try to fall in and out of love, they end up making their relationship a family spectacle, which has no culmination but marriage to it.

‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ marks Ranbir’s return to the romantic-comedy genre ten years after his blockbuster ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. Shraddha too is making a comeback of sorts to a true-blue Hindi musical romantic-comedy. The film also stars Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor.

During the Red Sea Festival held in December 2022, Ranbir had talked about the film and said, “I don’t know it is probably going to be one of the last romantic comedies I do because I am getting older.” He received a loud disapproving roar from the audience, who told him that he is only getting younger.

Produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg and presented by T-Series, it will release theatrically on Holi, March 8.
