‘Gulmohar’, a multi-generational family drama set in Delhi, is all set to release on March 3, 2023 on Disney+ Hotstar. The streaming platform, on February 8, unveiled the first-look poster of the upcoming film, the cast of which includes veteran actress Sharmila Tagore and marks her digital debut. It also features Manoj Bajpayee, Amol Palekar, Suraj Sharma and Simran.
Directed by Rahul Chittella and written by him and Arpita Mukherjee, ‘Gulmohar’ revolves around emotional ties and relatable moments. The official Instagram handle of Disney+ Hotstar shared the first-look poster and captioned it as, "Miliye Manoj-ji ki family se - Aa raha hai Batra parivaar in Gulmohar - streaming on 3rd March #GulmoharOnHotstar (sic).”

For those caught unaware, recently, Manoj Bajpaye posted a video on social mediaand promised his fans to introduce his family. "Family ke saath aa raha hoon. swagat nahin karoge humara? (sic)," wrote the actor. Everyone thought he would be making an announcement of his show ‘Family Man Season 3’. However, it was about his new film, ‘Gulmohar’.
Coming to yesteryear actress Sharmila Tagore, talking about the project, she said, "Gulmohar is a household story that is relatable to all. It is a balance between tradition and modernity and how families can bridge that gap with love and warmth. I am really looking forward to it being released on Disney+ Hotstar and to see the audience's reaction.”
