'Fukrey 3' Vs 'The Vaccine War' Box Office Day 3: Richa Chadha, Pankaj Tripathi Starrer Stays Strong; Vivek Agnihotri's Film Picks Up Some Pace

On September 28, 'Fukrey 3' and 'The Vaccine War' clashed at the box office. The former opened with good numbers while the latter had a slow start on day 1. Shah Rukh Khan 'Jawan' is still running successfully at the box office and both the movies are having a tough time especially Vivek Agnihotri's directorial. 

'Fukrey 3' is the third instalment of the franchise 'Fukrey'. The comedy drama stars Richa Chadha, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Pankaj Tripathi and Manjot Singh. The film earned over Rs 8 crore on day 1 while 'The Vaccine War' couldn't even make Rs 2 crore. As per trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh, 'Fukrey 3' made Rs 7.81 crore on Friday and witnessed a jump Saturday, as it earned Rs 11.67 crore. So, the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 28.30 crore. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the Mrighdeep Singh Lamba directorial had an overall 28.33 per cent Hindi occupancy on Saturday.

It is bankrolled by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment. 

Reportedly, 'The Vaccine War' saw a growth on Saturday. The film earned Rs 0.90 crore on day 2. The early estimates of day 3 suggest that it has finally crossed Rs 1 crore as it minted Rs 1.50 on its first Saturday. So, the total collection is estimated to now stand at Rs 3.25 core. It saw an overall 16.30% Hindi occupancy. 

'The Vaccine War' stars Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Pallavi Joshi, Raima Sen, Girija Oak, and Nivedita Bhattacharya among others. Produced by Pallavi Joshi and I Am Buddha, the film released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The movie tells the story of the development of the Covid vaccine during the Covid-19 pandemic in India.
