Then as Bangladesh closed in on the target, the rain stopped the play with the first-time finalists still 15 runs from the victory. Akbar Ali (42 off 76) and Rakibul Hasan (3 off 19) added 20 runs in 54 balls, but the stoppage has come in a bad time for them.

So what happens if the play is not possible?

Bangladesh will become champions. They are ahead by 18 runs on DLS par.
