World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka continued her formidable run at Wimbledon 2025, securing a place in the semi-finals with a win over Laura Siegemund. She will now face 23-year-old American Amanda Anisimova on Thursday, July 10.

The Belarusian fought back after losing the first set 4-6 to defeat Siegemund in three sets, claiming the next two 6-2, 6-4 in the quarterfinals. Earlier, Sabalenka had powered past Elise Mertens in the round of 16 with a 6-4, 7-6 win. Interestingly, Aryna has 3 Grand Slam titles but she has never reached a Wimbledon final -- and this time, it’s starting to feel different.

Speaking of Amanda Anisimova, she reached her first Wimbledon semi-final with win over Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, 6-1, 6-7. The 23-year-old American is making her second career appearance in a Grand Slam semi-final, having first broken through with a stunning run at Roland-Garros in 2019 at just 17 years old.
