India's top-seeded shuttler duo of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have moved on to the final of the Malaysia Open badminton (BWF 1000) in the Men's doubles category after beating the Korean duo Kang Min-Hyuk and Seo Seung-Jae in straight sets of 21-18, 20-22 on Saturday. Satwik-Chirag pair was recently awarded the highest sports award in India, the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. Now, the star Indian shuttlers will face Chinese pair Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang in the Men's Doubles final on Sunday.
The Indian duo had gone down fighting the Chinese pair in the China Masters final last year in November. The world no. 1 Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang had already given the Indian players a setback and now Satwik-Chirag will be eyeing to learn from their previous mistakes and play positively in the final.

Satwik and Chirag are just one step away from achieving their second Super 1000 title after claiming the Indonesian Open in June last year. In the battle of the world no. 1 pair and world no. 2, the Chinese pair is the favourite but the underdogs Satwik-Chirag must be eyeing to win the first tournament of the season.
