Roger Federer Honoured At Shanghai Masters 2023 - In Pictures
The legend of the 'Swiss Maestro' was celebrated in Shanghai, China on Friday. Roger Federer, the 20-time Grand Slam champion who retired in 2022, was presented with the Icon Athlete Award at the eponymous ATP Masters 1000 event in front of enthralled fans. The 42-year-old won Shanghai Masters twice in 2014 and 2017. Chinese legends Li Na and Zhang Zhizhen were also honoured. Poland's Hubert Hurkacz defeated Andrey Rublev in the final to win the ATP 1000 event, while Marcel Granollers of Spain and Horacio Zeballos of Argentina claimed the doubles crown after conquering the Indo-Aussie pair of Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden.
