Samingdam NF Looksuan is ready for another war under the bright lights of Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

On August 8, live in Asia primetime, the 23-year-old Thai striker will headline ONE Friday Fights 119 in a 140-pound Muay Thai showdown against Sonrak Fairtex — and he has his sights set on moving closer to a life-changing US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship.

He sees danger in Sonrak’s unrelenting offense but believes the Myanmar veteran’s defense will give him the openings he needs to end the fight. Based on what he’s seen, Samingdam is confident in how this stylistic clash will unfold.

He said:

“Sonrak is a southpaw with a real Thai fighter style. His strengths are his non-stop left punches and left kicks. But I think his defense isn’t great because he still gets hit pretty often.”

That belief has Samingdam anticipating another finish, just like the one he scored against Amir Naseri at ONE Friday Fights 110, where a late left hook put the Iranian-Malaysian veteran down in the third round.

Now riding a two-fight winning streak, Samingdam knows that if his shots land cleanly, Sonrak may not see the final bell – so he’s bringing plenty of firepower into Friday’s clash.

“It’s true that Sonrak’s body has gotten tougher recently, but for a fighter who’s been knocked out before, I believe that if he gets hit clean again, there’s a good chance he’ll go down. And I believe if he gets hit by my weapons, he’ll definitely go down. I’ve also prepared some surprise attacks, but you’ll have to wait and see what they are in the ring.

“In this fight, I’m going to start by walking him down from the get-go. If Sonrak doesn’t back down, I think this fight will be as fierce as my fight with Seksan [Fairtex] because I’m not going to back down either.”

A nine-fight veteran in ONE Friday Fights, Samingdam has never failed to deliver excitement, and he’s prepared for Sonrak to push back and bring the chaos with him.

The crowd at Lumpinee thrives on action-packed wars, and the Thai slugger is eager to give them another unforgettable performance.

“I want to get back to entertain everyone again, just like I did in the beginning. I guarantee that in this fight, fans will see Samingdam come forward and fight with an all-out aggressive style again.”

Samingdam Reclaims Confidence After Knockout Of Naseri

Samingdam NF Looksuan’s current momentum was built on his stoppage win over Amir Naseri, a fight that almost slipped away until a last-minute turnaround.

Early in the bout, the Thai star struggled to find his rhythm. But a pep talk from his coach in the corner changed everything and helped him snap out of his hesitation just in time. That moment was the spark he needed to rediscover his edge.

It marked his first stoppage win since his first-round knockout over Petseekiew Kor Kampanart at ONE Friday Fights 67 more than a year ago.

He explained:

“In the last fight with Amir, I actually planned to go forward and fight aggressively. But in the first two rounds, I put too much pressure on myself and was too worried about his weapons.

“My plan went out the window, and I was getting outfought. It wasn’t until the final round when my coach [Abbas Looksuan] got my head back in the game and told me to just go out there and fight like I had nothing to lose. So I went all-out and ended up finishing the fight with a left hook.”

Beyond momentum, the win brought real-world impact. For Samingdam, success in the ring is an opportunity to take care of the people who matter most. That includes his family, who have been by his side throughout the ups and downs.

That victory allowed him to breathe, not just as a fighter but as a son and provider. With his confidence back and financial burdens easing, Samingdam feels motivated to build a more stable future.

“I’ve already used my bonus money to help my family pay off their debts. From now on, if I get another bonus, I’ll be able to save it for my future.”
